It was established on 216 decares of land in Etlik, Ankara in 1990 and was put into service in its 420 bed capacity building. As of 1995, it continued its service as "SSK Ankara Maternity and Gynecology Training Hospital".It was named “SSK Ankara Maternity and Gynecology Training and Research Hospital” in 2004 and “Ministry of Health Ankara Etlik Maternity and Gynecology Training and Research Hospital” in 2005. Since 2008, it has been serving under the name of "Ministry of Health Etlik Zübeyde Hanım Gynecology Training and Research Hospital".

As a heritage of the first medical school "Mekteb-i Tıbbiyye-i Şahane" dates back to 1903 in the history of Türkiye, University of Health Sciences was established in the same building on April 15, 2015 and, started education at 2016-2017 academic year in Istanbul. It is the first thematic state university at health sciences in Turkey, having the official authorization to establish schools and institutes abroad. At about one year later after the establishment, Gulhane Academy of Military Medicine, which were firstly opened with the name of Gulhane Seririyat Hospital on December 30, 1898 as the first institution to provide modern health education, was associated with University of Health Sciences. As well as civilian and non-citizen civilian students, University of Health Sciences has also been admitting military students studying on behalf of Ministry of National Defense and Ministry of Internal Affairs and military international students.

Etimesgut Sait Ertürk State Hospital is located on a land of 37.181 square meters and serves in a total closed area of 36.222 square meters. The hospital, which used to operate as the Etimesgut Military Hospital, was named after the Military Hospitals' transfer to the Ministry of Health with the decree numbered 659 and the name of Staff Colonel Sait Ertürk, who was martyred in Istanbul in the treacherous coup attempt on July 15, and started to operate under the Ministry of Health. Due to the construction of the 250-Bed New Hospital in our district of Etimesgut, the old Etimesgut State Hospital has been moved to this hospital together with all its staff and outbuildings, and capacity merged under the name of Etimesgut Sait Ertürk State Hospital as of 26.08.2016. As of February 15, 2019, it moved to the new hospital building and started to serve. The hospital, with its 250 registered beds, is a second-line healthcare institution in the role of B service under the Ministry of Health and is the only inpatient treatment institution of our district.

Sincan State Hospital was a district polyclinic affiliated to Ankara Numune Hospital in 1989, and officially opened as a hospital with 50 bed capacity on 14.11.1998.
Our hospital, which serves as a regional hospital with its buildings added to the structure of our hospital, serves to the people of the district (approximately 1,000,000 inhabitants), including Sincan, Eryaman, Yenikent and Ayaş.
